China Travel
Suggestion from Gregg Millett

Visa: First you need a passport. Second you need a visa. I know of two ways to get a visa. On our last trip, six of us drove to the China Consulate in New York City (12th Ave. and 42nd St.), arriving by 10am. We had our pictures taken at the Consulate ($12); filled out the form; paid $50; and for a $30 extra service fee, we picked up our completed documents in the afternoon. If you come back a week later to pick up your documents, there is no extra charge. Two of our travelers successfully used the following internet service (www.visa-chinese.com). It only took about a week; they didn't have to leave home; and the total cost is only $69.

Getting to China: I suggest you e-mail Lucy Wu and ask for information. She has given me reliable service with the best prices on airfare.

Travel in China:: I suggest you e-mail Jin Fei Bao and visit his Top Trip Travel website. He has given me excellent service and great prices on in-China airfare, tours and hotels.
